KITCHEN RESCUE
I discovered this shortcake when I was out food-tasting with my good friend Miriam Balingit for her mom’s 80th birthday, which was held at C3 (Happy Birthday, Mama Ely!). The comfort-food type! Thanks to chefs James Antolin and Maud Ariane Jimenez for the recipe.
If you decide that it is better to buy than to bake, call 7262712. They accept orders. And if ever you choose C3 for your event, have Ariane do your cake. I designed a cake for the party and she executed it. It was beautiful! Ariane, how proud I am of the work of your hands!

Inspired by theme “Temptations,” C3 Restaurant launched in style last month with a chocolate buffet, continental cuisine, exquisite wines, luxurious cars, and heavenly voices enamoring guests from the culinary and business industry.
The grand launch aims to position C3 Restaurant as the center of “culinary elegance” in the Greenhills area. With a menu powered by the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila, the top culinary education institution in the country, a dining experience at C3 Restaurant is a moment worth remembering.
The launch featured performances from bossa nova diva Sitti Navarro, Fame Flores and Camille Rodriguez. A mini-fashion show by designer Puey Quinones impressed the guests on the versatility of the C3 Events Place as a venue. This event also marked the launching of the C3 Privilege Card and the debut issue of PeopleEventsPlaces, the newest Web magazine in town.

Perfect for business lunches, mid-afternoon meetings, or simply a relaxing dinner with family and friends. Call C3 Restaurant at 726-2712 or 723-2347 for reservations and inquiries, or log on to www.peopleeventsplaces.com.

GMA 7’s top-billing primetime program, ‘Asian Treasure’ recently shot their television series at C3 Events Place last Friday, March 2, 2007. It was meant for the episode where Gabriela (played by Angel Locsin) and Elias (played by Robin Padilla) will attend the ‘Night of Masks’. And probably another twist will come to pass for the battle of the most treasured anting-anting.
Other stars spotted that night were Marvin Agustin (as Hector), Diana Zubiri (as Ingrid) , Director Eric Quizon, Mon Confiado (as Y), and Gio Alvarez (as Cedric). We have nothing more to say since we don’t want to be a spoiler to your favorite action-adventure teledrama. Just don’t fail to watch Asian Treasure every weekdays right after ‘24 Oras’.
