CCA, Manila marks 10th year with a night of fun and reminiscing.
Global. That's the word that best describes the country's leader in formal culinary education. The Center for Culinary Arts, Manila (CCA, Manila) recently marked a decade of excellence with its partnership with the world-renowned Alain Ducasse Training Center (ADF) for a series of classes dubbed as "Cooking Under Influences" which culminated in a stylish party and salsa night last November 18 at C3 Events Place in Greenhills.
A reason to celebrate was CCA, Manila's founder Susana P. Guerrero recent citation: a "2006 Mabuhay Gold Award" given by the Association of Human Resources Managers in the Hospitality Industry (AHRM) to a Filipino hotelier or restaurateur who has greatly contributed to the upliftment of the Philippine hospitality industry. The organization cited her for being a "visionary leader, an extraordinary achiever."
As President of CCA, Manila, she led the celebrations and proclaimed that she is proud of CCA's graduates who now occupy top jobs in the best hotels here and abroad, or are successful restaurateurs themselves at present. Some of them were present during the celebrations and reminisce about the growth of the school and were cited for their achievements.
The ADF was represented by Chef John Gramarossa and Nicolas Toulliou, Chef de Projet-Partenariats Educatifs. Also leading the celebrations were Marinela G. Trinidad, general manager; Ma. Paz Sales, CCA school director; JB Bolaņos, marketing manager; Anne C. Palmares, PR manager; chef-instructors, students, alumni, and friends.
The entertainment for the night was provided by Lance Raymundo, pianist Angelo Ortiz, UP Dansa and Guarana - led by Eileen Sison.
The event was held in cooperation with Eva Air, Hyatt Casino and Hotels, Happy Living, Cardinal Ceramics, Deglon, Evian, Volvic, Samsung Electronics, Del Monte Philippines, Le Cellier, Actron Snake River Farms Alternative Co., KLG, C3 Events Place and Ronald and Tisha Rosales of Balay Kandila (event styling). It is supported by the Embassy of France and Alliance Francaise.
