LIFE FOOD

WANT to eat a work of art?

Then try "creative" fine dining at C3 Events Place, located at 18 Missouri St. North Grenhills. San Juan.

C3 (or Create, Celebrate, Captivate) has a Café-style restaurant that boasts of modish interiors and ingeniously presented continental menu.

Though small, the restaurant is cozy and intimate perfect for an early morning brainstorm or a mid-afternoon babble with your corporate girlfriends.

Its interiors are currently 80’s disco inspired. Everywhere , there are cushioned chairs with colorful psychedelic prints on the walls and the floors are the dreamy paintings while at the centerpiece, glistening disco balls and aquamarine ornaments in wine glasses are in place. The restaurant also has floor to ceiling glass windows, giving a view of the neighboring Greenhills Shopping Center and the narrow street outside plain but somehow an escape from the city’s visually overloading panorama. For a reasonable price and a considerable waiting time, customers too would get to experience eating gastronomical magnum opus. Each time the waiter puts down a customer’s order on the table, the visitor would wonder if it were his birthday since each food is as wonderfully presented as a birthday cake. Too beautifully presented that in fact, some customers seize from chatting to admire the splendor of the intricately crafted food in their plates. No wonder some may even take pictures of their meal before demolishing its charm.

But such dexterity in presentation is not surprising at all. After all, C3 is managed by Center for Culinary Arts Manila—responsible for honing world class Filipino Chefs. CCA says C3 is its pride and latest ambitious project. “The place also serves as a home for CCA’s upcoming business, events, and lifestyle courses such as catering and events management.

Apart from the restaurant, C3 has a Zen motivated function hall for medium to large scale functions. The hall has an indoor falls that flow in aquariums on the floor. Surreal paintings adorn the brick walls, while a swirling staircase at the entrance spells a dramatic descend for the future bride or debutante.
