Manila Standard Today Life Home & Family C4 Tuesday, June 5, 2007 Throwing a party doesn’t necessarily mean de-stressing over themes, expenses, and venues. Neither does it require spending a fortune on booze and junk food just to have fun. One can actually throw a good party while keeping oneself and the guests healthy and fit, all at the same time. And one need not spend much. C3 Events Place and Restaurant, in San Juan, Greenhills, aims to do just that by introducing the “Spa Concept”. Formally launched last May 4, spa concept consists of Spa Cuisine and spa party theme. Spa cuisine is a special menu, concocted by chef Inigo Castillo, which features delectable dishes and refreshing drinks that are low in fat (or fat-free), high in nutrients. Castillo assures that it’s not the tasteless hospital food that one may be thinking. His culinary team made sure that they serve food that has more texture and flavor than usual. Such masterful creations are its appetizer buffet that lists fruit and walnut salad, tomato carpaccio, melon gazpacho, and the all-time favorite bruschetta with three dips: eggplant caviar, tatziki, and hummus among others. For the main entrée, one can choose spicy tuna au poivre with grilled vegetable timbale and tomato rice pilaf or the chicken Mediterranean with grilled vegetables and roasted tomato pilaf. Desserts are also made healthy such as the surprisingly delicious tofu cheesecake, pineapple mousse, macerated fruit shots and skinny Pavlova. If one is up for more relaxing and pampering, one can opt for the spa party theme. The spa party theme is perfect for big groups celebrating weddings, birthdays, debuts, corporate/business meetings, reunions, etc. It has also partnered with Blue Day Water Day Spa to complete the whole holistic party experience. This concept allows customers not only to partake of the spa cuisine but also indulge in selected spa treatments offered by Blue Day Water Spa. It all depends on the party package the group has chosen. C3 has packages from weddings to kiddie parties. One can indulge in Blue Water Day Spa’s Brazilian Crystal Massage Therapy, foot massage, back massage or for the fashinista, digital nail art, to name a few. “We want to offer our customers a unique way of relaxing and pampering thus we came up with the concept,” shares Marinela Guerrero Trinidad, owner of C3 Events Place and Restaurant. In agreement, Castillo says, “Instead of thinking about all the individual items required for the event, we take out this concern from the planner by incorporating all the basics into the package. All they have to do is tell us what they want, and what their budget is, and we will help them create a captivating event that celebrates their occasion.” Space will not be much of a problem since the newly renovated C3 is big enough to accommodate up to 400 guests for sit down dinners and 600 for cocktails. “This place is very comfortable. It’s air-conditioned so even if it’s humid outside, or even raining, you can hold your event here properly. It’s not too big or sprawling where you don’t get enough people, and not too small either. It’s also easier and more affordable to hold an event here because we offer catering services as well. And with the launch of the event packages , we expect more clients to try us out and create their own events at C3,” finishes Castillo.
